Most Financially Damaging On-Set Error for Indie Post-Production?

Hey everyone, I'm Fatima Al-Rashid, a sound designer, and I'm grappling with a question about indie film production. I'm currently working on an indie feature where I'm doing the sound design, and we’re already seeing some ripple effects from what went down on set. I try to be proactive as much as possible, like suggesting particular mic placements for the 4017 or pushing for wild lines when I can, but I wasn't there for the entire shoot. I'm thinking specifically about all the common on-set errors, things like missing clean plates for VFX, lack of solid reference photos for set dressing or color, or even just inconsistent takes. From your experience, especially working on indie budgets with tighter margins, which single on-set mistake typically ends up being the most financially devastating to fix in post-production? I'm trying to wrap my head around what really burns through cash when it's not caught on the day. Thanks for any insights!
