Shrinking the Pre-Launch Phase for Independent Projects - Seeking Advice

Hey everyone, I'm Lucas, a Gaffer usually working on commercials and music videos, but I'm diving into an independent short film project as a passion thing, something outside of my usual gig lighting a set with SkyPanel X units or a Forza 500 II. I'm operating on a shoestring budget and a really tight schedule. I've been reading up on ideal project launches, and a lot of the advice points to a 6-12 week pre-launch phase for building an audience and an email list. Frankly, that feels like an impossible luxury for me right now. My 'pre-launch' has essentially been me trying to juggle actual lighting plans (thinking of using an ARRI and some Aputure LS 300x lights, maybe an amaran 150c for accents) with trying to wrangle some social media attention. I've managed to get about 50 legitimate sign-ups. How have you folks adapted the recommended pre-launch timelines and list-building strategies for projects where you simply don't have that kind of runway or dedicated marketing resources?
