AI Voice Cloning & ADR: How are Director/Producer Spotting Sessions Changing?

Hey everyone, I’m Yuki, a VFX artist currently knee-deep in a sci-fi indie feature shot primarily on an ALEXA Mini. We're approaching the ADR phase and something’s been on my mind. For years, ADR spotting sessions with directors and producers have followed a pretty standard protocol, identifying lines, discussing performance, etc. But with the rapid advancements in AI voice cloning, I’m genuinely wondering if and how those conversations are shifting. Have any of you noticed a change in how directors or producers approach dialogue replacement? Are we seeing more discussions about selectively using AI for certain lines, or even entire character voices? Or is it still largely off the table for most? Trying to get a sense of the current landscape. What’s your experience been in the last year or two?
