Crowdfunding Reward Fulfillment Costs - Any Strategies for a Tight Budget?

Hey everyone, Luc here. I'm a Steadicam operator and I'm currently running a crowdfunding campaign for a short film I'm directing. We're on a pretty tight budget, as indie films usually are, and it's been a real learning curve wearing all these hats.

We offered some cool rewards, digital downloads, custom artwork, even a 'behind-the-scenes' day on set (using my AMIRA and V-RAPTOR XL, naturally). What's really hitting me now is the cost of fulfilling these rewards. I'm looking at things like printing, shipping, and even the time commitment for the custom stuff. It feels like fulfillment could eat up 20-30% of the actual pledge value, which is a huge chunk when every dollar counts towards the production itself (lighting with some Forza 500 IIs and sound with my 4018 and 888 aren't cheap!).

I've tried grouping shipping and looking for cheaper suppliers for printed materials, but it still feels high. For those of you who have run successful campaigns, especially on indie budgets, how do you practically manage these reward fulfillment costs without gutting your actual project funds?
