One-Page Pitch Mastery vs. Indie Film Reality - How Often Do You Adapt?

We've spent weeks meticulously crafting this one-page pitch, every word, every image, honed to perfection. The guides all preach 'mastery' of this document, making it bulletproof.

But in the chaotic real world of indie film, my gut tells me things rarely go that smoothly. For those of you who've been through the funding and pitching grinder, how often do you find that your perfectly crafted one-page pitch needs to be completely re-thought or drastically adapted on the fly for different meetings, producers, or funding opportunities? Is it more of a living document than a sacred text?
