Scaling Down QC for Fast-Turnaround VFX: Your Strategies?

Hey everyone,

I'm Yuki, a VFX artist, and I've been grappling with how to adapt our studio's standard QC processes for smaller, quicker projects. We usually follow a pretty rigorous, multi-stage QC and naming convention guide, the kind that works great for big feature film sequences. However, for things like quick commercial spots or fast-edit social media content, where I might be comping shots from an AMIRA or a V-RAPTOR XL and turning them around in a day or two, that full-blown process feels like overkill and actually slows us down.

I've tried just doing a visual spot-check and a quick Nuke script cleanup, but sometimes minor issues slip through that easily would have been caught by an extra stage. Losing that dedicated QC round definitely makes me nervous. How have you all managed to streamline or simplify your QC and file naming on these tighter deadlines without completely sacrificing essential quality control? Interested to hear your workflows.
