AI Dialogue Tools & Workflow Evolution - Seeking Advice
Hey everyone,
I’m Elena Rodriguez, a Producer, and I’m genuinely curious about how advancements in AI-powered dialogue tools are reshaping your post-production workflows, especially concerning 'cleaning' and 'matching.'
On my last feature, shot mostly on an ALEXA Mini with a MixPre-10 II, we dealt with some challenging environmental noise, bustling city streets, unexpected wind. We relied heavily on Izotope RX for dialogue cleanup and trying to achieve continuity across takes recorded with an MKH 8060. It was effective, but quite time-consuming.
Now, with all these newer AI tools popping up, promising even better noise reduction and sonic matching, I'm wondering if I should be integrating them more proactively. Are you finding them robust enough to replace or significantly reduce reliance on traditional denoisers like RX in certain scenarios? And crucially, how are these tools affecting your overall 'continuity' strategy, especially when trying to seamlessly blend dialogue from different takes or even ADR?
Any insights or shared experiences would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
