When 'Polished' is a Luxury: Delivering Treatments & Pitches Under Pressure?

I'm Ngozi Emeka, writing in with a question that's been on my mind. We all strive for perfectly polished treatments and pitch materials, it's the ideal. But in the real world, deadlines are tight, and last-minute revision requests from producers can fundamentally alter a concept. I'm currently wrestling with a feature project where an executive just threw a curveball about a core character, meaning my entire pitch deck needs a significant overhaul, and I have less than 48 hours.

I’ve tried focusing on the absolute essentials to update, but the scope feels massive. How do you all handle these situations? What are your 'war stories' about having to compromise on that perfect polish due to time or unexpected changes? More crucially, how did you still manage to deliver something effective and professional, even if it wasn't the 'ideal' version you envisioned?
