Colorist, Documentary Feature

Documentary Color Grading New York, NY any Budget: Credit + meals

Hey everyone, Elena here. We're looking for a skilled Colorist to join our independent production team for an upcoming feature-length documentary. Our film explores the unique world of underground urban gardening in NYC, focusing on the passion, struggles, and community behind these hidden oases. It's an intimate, character-driven piece, and we're looking for someone who can help us elevate the visual storytelling with a refined, naturalistic grade that enhances the raw beauty of our subjects and locations. As our Colorist, you'll be responsible for establishing looks, performing primary and secondary corrections, and delivering final graded footage. We're open to all experience levels; if you have a great eye and a strong reel, we want to hear from you. You'll need access to your own grading suite and software. We're pretty flexible with the schedule, and specific hours can be worked out, but we anticipate needing around 20-30 hours per week for about 4-6 weeks, starting in late September (dates are somewhat flexible). This is a volunteer position, but we'll provide full credit, meals during any in-person meetings, and it's a great opportunity to get a compelling feature doc on your reel. We're based in New York, NY.
