Entry Colorist, Independent Feature Film
Hey everyone, Zara here. We're looking for an entry-level colorist for an upcoming independent feature film. It's a psychological drama, pretty dark and atmospheric, set in a remote part of rural England. We've got some really interesting visual themes we want to explore with the color, aiming for something quite stylised and unsettling. We're on deferred pay, hoping to make some noise at festivals. You'll be responsible for taking our raw footage and bringing our vision to life through color grading. This includes primary and secondary corrections, consistency across scenes, and ensuring the final look enhances the narrative. While we won't throw you completely in the deep end, some familiarity with DaVinci Resolve or similar software is essential. Please have a reel or some examples of your work, even if it's student projects or short films, that show your eye for color. We're aiming to begin grading mid-September, with an estimated workload of about 2-3 weeks, though this is flexible. We're a small, dedicated team and the atmosphere is collaborative. We'll provide the footage and a general creative brief, but we're also very open to your input. This is a great opportunity to get a feature film credit under your belt and work with a passionate crew in London.
