Colorist, Documentary Feature (Remote OK)
Hey filmmakers, I'm Corey, and I'm looking for a talented mid-level colorist to join our independent documentary feature project. This film delves into the fascinating world of urban exploration, focusing on forgotten historical sites. We’ve captured some truly evocative footage, ranging from gritty, decaying interiors to beautiful, wide-open cityscapes, and we need someone who can help us craft a visually compelling narrative that matches the mood. Think atmospheric and cinematic, with a touch of raw authenticity. You'll be responsible for the full color grading pipeline, working closely with myself and the director to establish and maintain the film's aesthetic. We’ve shot on a mix of cameras, so flexibility with different codecs is a plus. You'll need your own grading suite, but remote work is absolutely fine, as long as you can manage consistent communication. We'll be looking for someone with a strong reel demonstrating experience in documentary or narrative work, showcasing your ability to create distinct looks and correct tricky footage. This is a passion project for all involved, so it's a volunteer role, but a great opportunity to get a feature credit and contribute to a really unique story. We're aiming for a final picture lock by late fall so the bulk of the color work would be in the next few months, with flexible hours. Let's chat!
