Locations Assistant, Short Film
Hey Albuquerque film community, I'm a Location Manager currently crewing up for an upcoming independent production, a dramatic short film with a focus on intimate character studies. We're looking for a Locations Assistant to join our team. Your main responsibilities will include assisting with logistics, scouting potential sites, permit applications, and ensuring smooth operations on set regarding location needs. You'll be helping me manage everything from neighborhood relations to ensuring our locations are respected and returned to their original state. This is an entry-level position perfect for someone looking to get hands-on experience in the locations department. While no specific gear is required, a valid driver's license and reliable transportation are a must. Any prior production assistant experience or knowledge of the Albuquerque area is a plus, but not strictly necessary. Please provide a brief resume or rundown of any relevant experience. Shoot dates are approximately two weeks in late September, with some prep work beforehand. Hours will vary but expect typical production days. Compensation is points plus deferred payment, reflective of an independent short film budget. It's a great chance to learn the ropes and contribute to a compelling story.
