Corporate Video Screenwriter (Deferred - LA)

Hey everyone, David here. I'm an editor working on an upcoming corporate video project and we're looking for a talented screenwriter to join our team. This isn't your typical dry corporate fare, we're aiming for something fresh, engaging, and genuinely compelling for a tech client. Think more storytelling, less jargon, with a sophisticated but accessible tone. We need someone who can craft a sharp, concise script that effectively communicates complex ideas while keeping our audience captivated. You'll be responsible for developing the concept with our director, writing the full script, including voiceover and on-screen narration, and potentially contributing to interview questions. Ideally, you'll have 3-5 years of screenwriting experience, particularly with corporate or explainer video content. A strong portfolio showcasing your ability to simplify complex topics and tell a story is a must. While this is a deferred compensation opportunity (backend percentage), it's a chance to build up your reel with a high-quality project. We're looking to start discussions soon, with script development happening over the next 4-6 weeks. Flexible hours, mostly remote, but we'd love for you to be based in Los Angeles for occasional in-person meetings.
