Commercial Screenwriter (Mid-Level)

I'm putting out feelers for a talented mid-level screenwriter to join an independent production pitching a series of innovative commercials. We're looking for someone who can craft engaging, fresh narratives for product-based spots, with a focus on a bright, optimistic, and slightly comedic tone. Think quirky, memorable, and relatable, not your typical hard-sell. Your primary responsibility will be developing compelling commercial scripts from concept through final draft, collaborating closely with the director and creative lead. We need someone who understands how to tell a story efficiently within short formats and can adapt quickly to client feedback. Pitching experience is a big plus. No specific gear required for this role, but we do need to see a strong portfolio or writing samples that demonstrate your ability to write for commercial or short-form content. Please include examples of character-driven narratives or clever concept execution. Compensation for this position is a co-producer credit and backend participation, as this is a partnership opportunity for the right person to build something great with us. We're aiming to begin pre-production in late summer, with writing work ideally kicking off in a few weeks. Hours will be flexible, project-based.
