1st AC, Dark Comedy Short

Short Film Camera Austin, TX senior Budget: $500-800/day

Looking for a seasoned 1st AC to help us bring to life a darkly comedic short film, think Coen Brothers meets A24. This isn't your average indie production; we're pushing stylistic boundaries with some ambitious camera work and need someone who thrives on a challenge. You'll be responsible for maintaining focus, pulling clean racks, and managing our camera package with precision. We're shooting on an ARRI Mini LF with Panavision PVintage lenses, so familiarity with that system is a must. Bring your own essential tools, though we'll provide the camera package and all expendables. We're looking for someone with a strong portfolio of previous narrative work, ideally on projects with a similar aesthetic. Please send over your reel and resume. Shoot dates are tentatively set for early September for 3 days, 10-hour days including breaks, in and around the Austin area. We'll be providing breakfast and lunch each day, plus craft services. Day rate is $500-800 depending on experience.
