1st AC, Sci-Fi Pilot (Albuquerque)

Hey Albuquerque film fam. We're looking for an experienced 1st AC to join an independent production, shooting a pilot episode for an upcoming sci-fi series. Think moody, character-driven sci-fi with a bit of a psychological thriller edge, not huge space battles. We're aiming for a strong visual style that feels intimate and tense. This is a great opportunity to get in on the ground floor of what we believe could be something special. As our 1st AC, you'll be crucial in maintaining focus, managing the camera package, and assisting with lens changes and pulls. We're looking for someone with a solid technical understanding of various camera systems and a strong attention to detail. You should be comfortable working quickly and efficiently on set, anticipating the DP's needs. Reliability and a good attitude are key here. We'll be primarily shooting on a RED cinema package. Please have experience with RED workflow and be able to provide your own follow focus system and basic tools. A current reel or portfolio showcasing your focus pulling skills is a must. Shoot dates are approximately 5-7 days in late September, specific dates TBD but will be shared soon. Expect 10-12 hour days. We're offering $300-500/day, depending on experience.
