Camera for Feature Film

When a brilliant, reclusive cryptographer vanishes, his daughter must decode her father’s past to find him. We're seeking a passionate and experienced 1st Assistant Camera to join our independent feature drama filming in Brooklyn. This project explores themes of family, legacy, and obsession with a moody, character-driven tone. We're looking for someone who thrives on set and is excited to contribute to a deeply personal narrative. You'll be responsible for maintaining focus, pulling focus, marking actors, changing lenses, and preparing camera packages. We need someone who owns a follow focus system and has a strong working knowledge of Arri Alexa Mini cameras, or similar high-end digital cinema cameras. Experience on narrative features or high-end shorts is essential, and an up-to-date reel or portfolio of your work is required. We're looking at five to six weeks of shooting, primarily on weekends and some weekdays, starting late August or early September 2026. We'll provide craft services and some travel reimbursements for local crew. This is a passion project, so while compensation is volunteer-based, you'll gain valuable feature film experience and collaborate with a dedicated team.
