Colorist, Pilot (Austin, TX)

Hey fellow filmmakers, I'm an Assistant Editor on an exciting new pilot and we're looking for a talented mid-level colorist to join our team. This is a dramatic thriller, think psychological suspense with a gritty, realistic aesthetic. We're aiming for a moodier, cinematic feel that really enhances the tension and character arcs. Your eye for detail will be crucial in bringing our vision to life. Key responsibilities include collaborating with the director and cinematographer to establish a distinct look and feel, color correcting and grading all footage, and ensuring consistency across scenes. You'll need your own grading suite and software, and a strong reel showcasing your dramatic work is a must. We're looking for someone with a solid understanding of color theory and recent workflows. We anticipate picture lock in late August, with color grading to commence shortly after and lasting approximately 2-3 weeks at a flexible schedule. This is a partnership opportunity, offering co-producer credit and backend participation, a great chance to contribute creatively to an independent production. While we don't have a large budget for day rates, you'll be joining a passionate team committed to making something special. Looking forward to seeing your work!
