Gaffer (Mid-Level) for Pilot, Toronto

Hey everyone, Raj here. I'm helping a good friend find a mid-level Gaffer for an upcoming pilot shoot in Toronto. It's a really interesting project, a dark comedy with some surreal elements, think early Coen Brothers. We're aiming for a very specific, slightly heightened visual style, and the cinematography will play a huge role in that. You'd be responsible for implementing the lighting plan, working closely with the DP, and managing the electrical department. We need someone who can work efficiently and creatively within a tight schedule. We're looking for someone with solid experience, ideally 3-5 years as a Gaffer on independent productions. You should have your own basic kit, though we'll be renting specialized gear as needed. A strong portfolio demonstrating your ability to shape light and execute complex setups is a must. Please share your reel or a link to your work. Shoot dates are approximately 5 days in late October or early November, roughly 10-12 hour days. We're paying $250 a day flat.
