1st AC (Assistant Camera), Feature Film

Feature Film Cinematography Vancouver, BC any Budget: TBD

Hey everyone, Alana here, VFX compositor. We're gearing up for an independent feature film shoot in Vancouver and are on the hunt for a skilled 1st Assistant Camera. This is an exciting, character-driven drama with elements of a psychological thriller, exploring themes of memory and identity. It's a really visually interesting script with some challenging but rewarding sequences. As our 1st AC, your main responsibilities will include pulling sharp, consistent focus, managing camera prep and maintenance, and ensuring our gear is always in top shape. You'll be working closely with our DP to execute their vision and keep the camera department running smoothly. We're open to all experience levels, from passionate newcomers eager to learn to seasoned pros. A good understanding of various camera systems (we'll be on a cinema camera) and a keen eye for detail are a must. Please send over your resume and a reel or portfolio if you have one, showcasing your focus pulling work. If you don't have a reel yet but have relevant experience, tell us about it! Shoot dates are approximately late October through November, five-day weeks with typical 10-12 hour days. Exact schedule TBD as we finalize locations. We'll be providing all necessary camera equipment, lenses, and accessories. This is a great opportunity to get hands-on experience on a feature and make some great connections. Let's make something awesome together!
