Production for Pilot

I'm producing an upcoming pilot, a gritty crime drama with supernatural elements set in modern-day NYC. We're looking for a talented Gaffer to join our team and help bring our vision to life. The tone is dark and suspenseful, with an emphasis on creating a distinct visual atmosphere. Key responsibilities include collaborating closely with the DP on lighting setups, managing all electrical and grip equipment, ensuring safety on set, and troubleshooting any lighting challenges that arise. You'll be instrumental in shaping the look and feel of the show. We're seeking someone with 3-5 years of experience as a Gaffer on independent productions. You should have a strong understanding of various lighting techniques, DMX control, and a good eye for composition. A reel showcasing your previous work is essential. While we will provide a comprehensive lighting package, a solid understanding of different fixtures and power distribution is crucial. Shoot dates are approximately 5 days in late September/early October, with typical 10-12 hour days. Lunch and crafty will be provided on set.
