NY Senior Editor, Feature Film

Hey everyone, Kevin here. We're looking for a seasoned Senior Editor for an upcoming independent feature film. It's a gripping psychological thriller, leaning into a dark, suspenseful tone, with some really interesting narrative twists. We've got a tight script and an ambitious vision, and we're looking for an editor who can really help us bring the story to life in the cutting room. Your primary responsibilities will include assembling initial cuts, collaborating closely with the director on creative direction, implementing revision notes, and preparing delivery for sound and color. We're looking for someone with extensive narrative feature experience, a strong sense of story, and proficiency with Adobe Premiere Pro. Please have a solid reel showcasing your feature film work ready to share. Our approximate shoot dates are late fall, so post-production would likely kick off around late Q4 2024 or early Q1 2025. It'll be a busy schedule, likely 10-12 hour days, five days a week, based out of a rented editing suite in New York City. We'll provide the editing workstation and media storage. This is a flat rate of $250 a day.
