Senior Editor, Impact-Driven Doc (Partnership)

Looking for a seasoned Editor to join an independent documentary project focused on environmental justice in the Southeast. This is a powerful, character-driven story with a hopeful, inspiring tone that we believe has the potential for significant festival play and a real impact. You'll be responsible for shaping the narrative, working closely with the director to craft a compelling story from a wealth of raw footage. We need someone who can bring a strong editorial vision, excellent storytelling instincts, and a deep understanding of documentary pacing. You'll need your own editing workstation and software (Premiere Pro preferred). We're seeking an experienced editor with a strong reel demonstrating work on features or high-level shorts, ideally in the documentary space. This isn't a paid gig upfront, it's an equity partnership, meaning you'll own a piece of the film. We're planning to wrap principal photography over the next few months, with post-production kicking off late Fall 2024. Hours will be flexible, largely remote, with some in-person sessions in Atlanta. We're providing all footage, music licensing, and post-production sound/color finishing.
