1st AC (Senior) - Sci-Fi Short (Minneapolis)

Hey everyone, Sara here. I'm a Post-Production Supervisor staffing up for an exciting sci-fi short film shooting here in Minneapolis. This is a suspenseful, character-driven piece with a unique visual style we're really passionate about. We're looking for a highly experienced 1st Assistant Camera to join our team. Your main responsibilities will include meticulous focus pulling, camera prep and maintenance, managing camera media, and supporting the Cinematographer on set. We need someone who can work efficiently under pressure and anticipates needs, essentially being the backbone of our camera department. You'll need to own a professional follow focus system and a comprehensive toolkit. Strong experience with ARRI or RED camera systems is a must, and please have a strong reel or references showcasing your advanced focus pulling skills. We need a true pro. Shoot dates are approximately 5-7 days in late July/early August, exact schedule TBD. We're looking at 10-12 hour days. Lunch and snacks will be provided on set, along with craft services. This is an independent production, but we're offering a competitive rate of $1000-1500 per day depending on experience. Reach out with your reel and availability!
