Camera Operator, Corporate Video (Entry Level)
Looking for an enthusiastic and reliable Camera Operator for an upcoming independent corporate video project in New York City. This project is a series of 3-5 minute explainer videos for a tech startup, focusing on their new software features. The tone is informative and engaging, and we'll be shooting interviews and product demonstrations. It's a great opportunity to get some hands-on experience and build your reel. Your primary responsibilities will include operating our primary camera (we're shooting on a Sony FX3 with a basic lens kit), assisting with minor setup and breakdown, and ensuring smooth, stable footage. We'll be working with a small, collaborative crew. Ideally, you'll have some basic experience with professional camera operation, understand framing and exposure, and be comfortable working independently after initial guidance. Having your own basic gear (tripod, monitoring solution) would be a plus, but not strictly required. Please include a link to your reel or any relevant work samples when you apply, even if it's student work. Shoot dates are flexible, likely 2-3 full days in late June or early July, 8-10 hours per day. We'll provide craft services and lunch on set. Compensation is deferred, a backend percentage will be discussed with suitable candidates. This is a chance to contribute to a real-world project if you're looking to step up your camera skills.
