Senior Art Director for Indie Sci-Fi Pilot

Hey everyone, James here. We're looking for a talented Senior Art Director to join our independent production team for an upcoming sci-fi pilot. This project is a visually ambitious, character-driven story set in a near-future Austin, blending gritty cyberpunk aesthetics with a strong emotional core. Think Blade Runner meets Eternal Sunshine. We're aiming for a really unique look and feel, and the art direction will be key to making that happen. Your main responsibilities will include leading the design and execution of sets, props, and overall visual style, translating our script's vision into tangible, exciting visuals. You'll be working closely with the director and DP to ensure a cohesive aesthetic. This is a senior role, so we're looking for someone with a strong portfolio showcasing their art direction experience on narrative projects, ideally with some sci-fi elements. While we can provide some basic materials, you should be resourceful and comfortable working within a pilot budget. Shoot dates are roughly late September through early October, primarily weekends, with some prep work required beforehand. This is a passion project, so it's a volunteer position, but we'll provide meals on set and a copy of the finished pilot for your reel.
