Art Department for Feature Film

Looking for a proactive Art Department Assistant for an upcoming independent feature film shooting in Montreal. This project is a gritty, character driven drama, exploring themes of redemption and consequence, with a visually rich, subtly surreal aesthetic that will need a strong creative eye. As our Art Department Assistant, you'll be crucial in helping bring our vision to life. Your responsibilities will include prop sourcing and organization, set dressing assistance, maintaining the art department inventory, and general on set support for our Production Designer. We're looking for someone enthusiastic, organized, and eager to learn the ropes of a film art department. While this is an entry level role, any prior experience, even on student films or passion projects, is a definite plus. No specific gear is required, but a keen eye for detail and problem solving skills are essential. Shoot dates are tentatively Late August to Mid-September, with some prep work required beforehand. This is a volunteer, deferred payment position, offering points in the film. Meals will be provided on set.
