Production for Feature Film

Hey everyone, my name is Maya and I'm a Set Medic on an upcoming independent feature film shooting in Brooklyn, NY. We're looking for a seasoned Lead Set Decorator to join our team. This project is a gritty, character-driven drama set in the late 90s, focusing on an underground music scene. We're aiming for a very authentic, lived-in aesthetic that really captures the era and the characters' world. Your main responsibilities will include sourcing, purchasing, and arranging all set dressing elements, collaborating closely with the Production Designer and Art Director to execute their vision, and managing a small decorating team. You'll need to have a strong portfolio demonstrating experience with period pieces or projects requiring detailed environmental storytelling. We're looking for someone who can work resourcefully and creatively within a budget. Shoot dates are approximately late September through October, full days, six days a week. We're providing a dedicated set dec budget, transport for larger items, and crew meals. This is a great opportunity to make your mark on a compelling story with a fantastic team.
