Editor, Short Film (Any Experience)

Hey filmmakers, Sofia here, a location scout on an upcoming independent production looking for an editor to join our crew. We're shooting a psychological drama short, around 10-15 minutes, with a surreal, dreamlike tone. Think Lynchian vibes with a touch of modern existential dread. It’s a challenging but visually compelling story dealing with memory and perception. We've got some really interesting footage and are excited to see what someone with a keen eye can bring to the edit. Your main responsibilities will be assembling the initial cut, incorporating feedback, sound syncing, basic color correction, and preparing the final exports. We're open to working with editors of any experience level, as long as you have a strong understanding of narrative storytelling and can bring your own editing setup (software and workstation). A reel or some editing samples are a must so we can get a feel for your style. Shoot dates are tentatively scheduled for mid-August in Albuquerque. We anticipate about 40-60 hours of editing work spread over a few weeks, with a flexible schedule. We’re offering points on the back end of the film's distribution, plus deferred pay.
