Colourist for Atmospheric Short Film

Seeking an experienced colourist for a 3-day commitment, paid at a rate of $300-500/day, for an upcoming short film project. We need a talented individual to help us craft the visual language of our 15-minute psychological drama, which explores themes of isolation and paranoia in a chilling, urban setting. The project has a dark, atmospheric tone, drawing inspiration from contemporary British thrillers and art house cinema. Your main responsibilities will involve conforming footage, grading sequences to enhance mood and narrative, and delivering final graded masters. We'll be looking for someone who can bring a strong aesthetic vision and collaborate effectively with myself and the director. While we're open to various experience levels, a strong reel demonstrating your ability to handle nuanced grading for dramatic storytelling is essential. You'll ideally have access to your own grading suite and software, or be comfortable working remotely if you can guarantee a professional setup. We'll provide a locked edit and any necessary references. Approximate dates for the grading work will be in late August or early September 2026, with flexible hours to accommodate the right candidate. This is an independent production with a dedicated and passionate crew, and we're looking for someone who shares that enthusiasm to help us make this film truly shine.
