Senior Editor, Austin Web Series (Thriller)

Seeking an experienced editor based in Austin, TX for a thrilling new web series, shooting primarily weekends in October and November. This independent production, a psychological thriller, explores themes of surveillance and paranoia with a sharp, suspenseful tone. We need a senior editor to take our raw footage and craft a compelling narrative, building tension and maintaining a high level of audience engagement across 6 episodes. Key responsibilities include assembling rough cuts, refining pacing and rhythm, collaborating closely with the director on creative direction, implementing sound design elements, and preparing final deliverables for online distribution. You'll need your own editing suite (Premiere Pro preferred) and a strong portfolio demonstrating your narrative editing skills, especially in suspense or psychological genres. We're looking for someone who can work efficiently and bring a strong sense of story to the edit. We anticipate 10-12 hour days during cutting periods. Compensation is $200-400/day, depending on experience. We're a small production company and value collaborative, creative individuals.
