Line Producer, Austin Feature Doc
Hey filmmakers, I’m wrapping up a long-form documentary about the Austin music scene, focusing on its unsung heroes. It's a passion project, a deeply emotional and personal story, aiming for the festival circuit. I'm a sound designer by trade and need a seasoned Line Producer to help us get across the finish line with strong financial oversight and logistical wizardry. We've got a fantastic team, but we need someone to keep us on track on the production side. You'll be absolutely crucial in managing budgets, schedules, and resources, from pre-production through post. This means coordinating crew, managing vendors, and ensuring we stay compliant with local regulations and permits. I'm looking for someone with at least 5+ years of experience as a Line Producer on independent documentary features, with a solid track record of delivering projects on time and within budget. Experience with music-focused projects is a big plus. Please, no applicants who are still learning the ropes; this is a senior role. We anticipate a fluid schedule over the next 4-6 months, with the bulk of the work being part-time or remote, but with significant on-the-ground presence required in Austin for key production phases. My rate for this role is $150-300/day, depending on experience. We'll handle all the necessary production insurance and provide access to our existing network of local resources. Send over your resume and a brief cover letter outlining your relevant experience. Looking forward to hearing from you!
