Location Scout/Manager, Web Series

Web Series Locations Los Angeles, CA mid Budget: $300-500/day

Looking for a seasoned Location Scout and Manager for an upcoming independent web series. This is a gritty, character-driven drama set in various urban and industrial Los Angeles locations. We're aiming for a raw, authentic feel, so your eye for unique, accessible spots is key. This role is critical in helping us tell our story visually. Your primary responsibilities will include scouting and securing diverse locations that fit our aesthetic, negotiating location agreements, liaising with property owners, and managing on-set logistics related to locations during production. You'll work closely with me (the DP) and the director to ensure our vision is achieved safely and efficiently. We need someone with at least mid-level experience in location management, preferably for indie projects or web series. You should have a strong understanding of permits, insurance requirements, and access protocols in Los Angeles. Experience with independent productions is a big plus, as is a portfolio or reel showing your previous scouting work. Reliable transportation is essential, as is a working knowledge of LA areas. Local contacts are highly valued. Shoot dates are approximate, currently looking at a three-week principal photography window in late summer/early fall. Days will typically be 10-12 hours. We'll provide a budget for location fees and any necessary permits. We're a small, passionate crew and are looking for someone who can hit the ground running and contribute significantly to our production. This is a great opportunity to be part of a compelling project with a dedicated team.
