Location Manager, Miami Doc
Hey filmmakers, Giselle here. We're looking for an experienced Location Manager for an upcoming independent documentary project shooting in Miami. This film dives into the vibrant, often unseen side of Miami culture, focusing on local artists and community initiatives. It's a character driven piece with a lot of heart, and we're aiming for a strong festival run. As Location Manager, you'll be key in scouting and securing diverse, compelling Miami-based locations that truly reflect our subjects' stories. Responsibilities include negotiating access, managing permits, and coordinating logistics with residents and businesses. We need someone who knows the city inside and out, from hidden gems to bustling neighborhoods. We're looking for someone with at least 3-5 years of experience in locations for documentary or independent film. Strong negotiation and communication skills are essential. Please have a portfolio or list of past projects available. Shoot dates are approximately 10-12 days over a three-week period in late spring. This is a volunteer position, but we'll cover meals on set and you'll receive a copy of the finished film. This is a great opportunity to contribute to a deeply meaningful project.
