Production for Web Series

Web Series Production Los Angeles, CA senior Budget: Co-producer credit + backend

I’m Megan Foster, a Script Supervisor, working on an exciting narrative comedy web series, and we're on the hunt for a talented Director of Photography to join us as a co-producer. This isn't your average sitcom; it's a dry, character-driven comedy with a touch of the absurd, think 'Curb Your Enthusiasm' meets 'The Office' but set in the incredibly mundane world of local government. We're aiming for a clean, naturalistic look that allows the comedic timing to shine, with moments for some stylized visual gags. You'll be responsible for crafting the visual storytelling, leading the camera department, and collaborating closely with the director to achieve our specific tonal goals. We need someone with significant experience (senior level) shooting narrative comedy, demonstrable through a strong reel. Experience with indie productions is a big plus. Ideally, you’d have access to your own camera package (e.g., Blackmagic Pocket, Sony FX6, or similar cinema camera) and basic lighting/grip kit suitable for a small crew. We're currently planning for approximately 6-8 shoot days, spread across evenings and weekends in Los Angeles (dates TBD, likely late spring/early summer). This is a passion project, so compensation is a co-producer credit and a share of the backend once the series is monetized. We're a tight-knit, collaborative team, and we're looking for someone who's ready to jump in and make some magic happen with us. Please send your reel and a brief cover letter outlining your relevant experience.
