Senior Screenwriter, Sci-Fi Pilot

Seeking a talented, senior-level screenwriter for an independent sci-fi pilot currently in development. This project is a gritty, character-driven drama set in a near-future London, exploring themes of surveillance and personal freedom. We're looking for someone who can craft compelling narratives and sharp dialogue, bringing a unique voice to a complex world. Key responsibilities include developing the pilot script from a detailed outline, collaborating closely with the director and producers on story beats and character arcs, and delivering polished drafts within agreed-upon timelines. You'll be instrumental in shaping the foundational story for what we hope will become a series. We require demonstrable experience writing for sci-fi or similar genre television, with at least one produced pilot or multiple produced episodes in your portfolio. This is a London-based position, ideally with some in-person availability for development meetings, though remote work will also be a significant component. Compensation is TBD based on experience and will be discussed upon interview. Project timelines are flexible at this stage, but we aim to have a strong first draft completed within 8-10 weeks of commencing work.
