Colorist, Independent Feature

Feature Film Color Grading Los Angeles, CA mid Budget: $150-300/day

Looking for a skilled colorist to join our independent feature film team in Los Angeles. This is an emotionally driven drama, a gritty, realistic story that really hinges on nuanced visuals and a specific mood. We’ve poured a lot into the cinematography, so we need someone who can translate that vision into the final grade, enhancing the story without it feeling overly processed. You'll be responsible for all color correction and grading, working closely with myself, the DP, and the director to achieve the desired look. We're looking for someone with at least mid-level experience on narrative features or high-end shorts, preferably with a strong portfolio showcasing dramatic work. You should be proficient with DaVinci Resolve or similar professional grading software and ideally have your own system for working remotely, though we can provide a suite for some sessions if needed. This is a paid position, $150-300 per day depending on experience. We're aiming for a post-production start in late summer, early fall, with flexibility on specific dates. We anticipate about 15-20 days of work over a few weeks, with some longer sessions expected. Please send your reel and a brief note about your experience. Looking forward to collaborating.
