Our upcoming documentary, exploring the vibrant subcultures of Albuquerque's old town, needs a passionate Art Assistant to help bring our vision to life. This project focuses on the unique blend of traditional artistry and modern expression found within the community, offering a visually rich and compelling narrative. We're looking for someone enthusiastic about set dressing, prop sourcing, and general art department support. Key responsibilities include assisting with set preparation and breakdown, helping to source and organize props, light scenic painting, and maintaining the overall aesthetic integrity of our locations. We're a small, dedicated independent production, so a proactive attitude and willingness to jump in where needed are highly valued. This is an entry-level, volunteer position, perfect for someone looking to gain valuable on-set experience in production design. We'll provide meals on shoot days and a copy of the finished film for your reel. We estimate about 1-2 days of prep work in August 2026, followed by approximately 3 weeks of shooting spread across September 2026. No specific gear is required, just your creative energy and a willingness to learn.
