Prod Designer, Entry-Level Short Film

Seeking a Production Designer to help us realize the visual world of our upcoming independent short film. This project is a darkly comedic thriller, think Coen Brothers meets _Knives Out_, exploring themes of greed and betrayal within a wealthy, eccentric family. We need someone who can come in with fresh ideas, translate script elements into compelling visual concepts, and oversee the aesthetic elements from start to finish. Your key responsibilities will include developing the overall visual style, creating mood boards, sourcing props and set dressings (we have some items already), and coordinating with other departments. We are looking for an entry-level professional eager to gain hands-on experience and contribute significantly to a creative vision. While not strictly required, having your own basic production design kit or access to local resources is a plus. Please submit a brief portfolio or examples of your design work, even if student or personal projects, along with your availability. Shoot dates are tentatively scheduled for 1-2 days in September 2026, with approximately 3 weeks of prep work leading up to it, flexible hours. This is a revenue-share partnership, ideal for someone looking to build their reel and collaborate closely on an exciting project.
