Art Coordinator, Pilot (Portland)
Our independent production team is seeking a talented Art Coordinator for an upcoming pilot. This project is a gritty, character-driven drama with elements of magical realism, set in a contemporary urban environment. We're aiming for a grounded, atmospheric look with subtle fantastical touches that elevate the narrative. It's a fantastic opportunity to contribute creatively to a visually rich story. You'd be working closely with the Production Designer (me!) to manage the logistics of bringing the art department's vision to life. Key responsibilities include coordinating prop rentals, sourcing set dressing elements, tracking department expenses, managing petty cash, assisting with set-up and strike, and overseeing art department PAs. You'll need excellent organizational skills, a proactive attitude, and a keen eye for detail. Experience with independent film budgeting and local Portland vendors is a plus. We anticipate about 3-4 weeks of work, primarily prep in late September or early October 2026, leading into a 5-day shoot. This is a deferred pay position, common for pilot productions at this stage, with back-end participation for a series pickup. We're looking for someone mid-level who can hit the ground running and is passionate about visual storytelling. Please submit a brief resume and cover letter detailing your relevant experience.
