Production Assistant, Short Film

Hey filmmakers, I'm Wayne Garrett, a Marine Coordinator, and I'm looking for a reliable Production Assistant for an upcoming independent short film. It's a gritty, character-driven drama about a struggling musician in Atlanta, with some intense emotional beats. We're aiming for a raw, authentic feel that truly captures the city's vibe. Your main responsibilities will include assisting the 1st AD, managing set logistics, running errands, coordinating talent needs, and generally being a proactive, helpful presence on set. We're a small, dedicated crew, so a can-do attitude is essential. No specific gear is required for this role, but previous set experience, even on student or micro-budget films, is a big plus. Please, no reels needed just tell me about your PA experience. We anticipate shooting over 3-4 days in late July, likely 10-12 hour days. Lunch and crafty will be provided daily. This is a great opportunity to get some paid set experience on a compelling project.
