Senior Screenwriter, Web Series (Vancouver)

Hey everyone, I'm helping pull together a team for an upcoming independent web series. We're looking for a senior-level screenwriter to join us for a campy, character-driven comedy series set in an apocalyptic Vancouver. Think 'Parks and Recreation' meets 'Zombieland' but with more rain. We've got a strong concept and a few character outlines, but we need someone to really flesh out the world and craft engaging, witty dialogue for 6-8 episodes (roughly 15-20 minutes each). You'll be working closely with the director and a small creative team to develop storylines, write full scripts, and revise as needed during pre-production. Ideally, you’ll have a portfolio showcasing strong comedic writing, character development, and experience with episodic content. We anticipate this will be a 4-6 week engagement, with writing beginning in late July/early August, but dates are flexible. This is a remote position primarily, but we'd love for you to be Vancouver-based for occasional in-person meetings. Payment is weekly. Looking forward to seeing your work!
