Art PA, Feature Film (Entry-Level)
Hey everyone, Andre Williams here. I'm a music composer on an exciting independent feature film shooting in Nashville soon. We're looking for an enthusiastic Art Department Production Assistant to join our team. This is a gritty, character-driven drama, with a strong emphasis on practical sets and atmospheric locations. It's an opportunity to really make your mark and learn the ropes in a hands-on environment. Your main duties will involve supporting our Art Director with set dressing, prop organization, assisting with scenic painting, and general art department errands. You'll be a vital part of bringing our visual world to life, so a keen eye for detail and a good work ethic are key. We're looking for someone punctual, eager to learn, and a strong team player. No specific gear is required, but an interest in film production and a willingness to get your hands dirty are a must. Previous experience on student films or shorts is a plus, but not strictly necessary for this entry-level role. We anticipate shooting for approximately 15-20 days, likely in late spring or early summer. Exact dates are still being finalized but will be communicated well in advance. Days will be long, usually 10-12 hours, but it will be a rewarding experience. We'll provide meals and transport to/from set if needed. This is a paid position, offering $150-300 per day, depending on experience. While you don't need a formal reel, briefly tell us why you're interested in the art department in your application. Looking forward to hearing from you!
