Art Dept Assistant, Commercial Shoot

Hey filmmakers, we're looking for an Art Department Assistant for an upcoming commercial project in Brooklyn. This is a high-energy, visually driven ad for a tech startup, featuring some dynamic practical effects and unique set builds. We need someone who's ready to jump in and support the production designer and lead art director. You'll be assisting with prop sourcing, set dressing, basic fabrication, and managing returns. It's a great opportunity to get hands-on experience in the art department on a commercial set. This is an entry-level position, but we do need someone proactive, organized, and with a good eye for detail. Any prior experience, even student films or personal projects, is a plus, and a portfolio or examples of your creative work (even sketches or prop recreations) would be helpful. We're looking for someone who can thrive in a fast-paced environment and isn't afraid to get their hands dirty. You should be able to lift moderate weight and be comfortable with general workshop tools. Having a valid driver's license is a definite bonus, though not strictly required. Shoot dates are approximately 3-4 days in late July, with some prep days beforehand. Expect 10-12 hour days. Compensation is $1000-1500 per day, depending on experience and the specific schedule.
