Editor, Music Video

Hey filmmakers. We're looking for an entry-level Editor for an independent music video project here in NYC. It's for an emerging indie artist, a soulful R&B track with a chill, introspective vibe. We're aiming for something visually rich, blending performance footage with abstract, atmospheric B-roll to create a dreamlike feel. Think fluid transitions and emotive storytelling through visuals. Your main gig will be assembling the initial cut, refining pacing, integrating color grades (provided by us), and preparing the final output for delivery. We'll give you a lot of creative freedom to shape the narrative. Ideally, you've got your own editing setup (Premiere Pro preferred) and a solid understanding of post-production workflows. We'd love to see a reel that shows your ability to craft compelling visuals, even if it's based on personal projects or short form content. Experience with music videos is a plus, but not essential, as long as you have a good eye for rhythm and storytelling. Shoot dates are set for early May, so we're looking for someone available for post-production immediately after. This will be a fairly quick turnaround, probably 2-3 weeks of focused editing. We'll handle all the file transfers and provide clear communication throughout. We're a small, supportive team, and this is a great chance to get a strong credit and build your network.
