Feature Film Cinematography New York, NY any Budget: Revenue share

Hey filmmakers, Jess Okafor here, a set decorator getting this post out for an independent production looking for a skilled Gaffer (or Best Boy, if you're building towards Gaffer) for an upcoming feature film. This project is a gritty neo-noir thriller, think "Nightcrawler" meets "Drive" with a really stylized visual approach. We're aiming for a dark, moody aesthetic, so your eye for shaping light will be crucial in bringing this vision to life. You'd be responsible for helping the DP execute their lighting plan, managing the lighting equipment, rigging, and ensuring everything is safe on set. We're looking for someone with a strong understanding of various lighting techniques, DMX, and ideally, you have some familiarity with LED fixtures. While specific gear isn't required for this role, knowing your way around a grip truck is a must. All experience levels are welcome, but a reel or portfolio showcasing your lighting work would be a huge plus. We'll be shooting primarily in and around NYC, with approximate dates TBD for late summer, early fall. This is a partnership opportunity, meaning revenue share, as we're all invested in making this film a success. Hours will vary, typical indie film schedule, but we strive for a good working environment. Meals and transport to locations will be covered.
