Gaffer (Co-Producer), Feature Film

Hey industry fam, Frank Navarro here. I'm posting on behalf of an ambitious independent production shooting a character-driven drama with thriller elements this summer in LA. Think grounded, suspenseful, and visually compelling. We're looking for a Gaffer to lead our lighting team and help shape the film's aesthetic with the DP and director. Key responsibilities include designing and implementing lighting plots, managing equipment, ensuring crew safety, and troubleshooting on set. You'll be crucial in translating our creative vision into stunning visuals. We need someone with solid experience gaffing narrative features or high-end shorts, a strong understanding of lighting principles, and comfort working with a variety of gear. Familiarity with LED packages and practical lighting integration is a big plus. Please have access to your own basic gaffing kit (meters, gels, hand tools, etc.), though we'll be renting the main lighting package. This is a partnership opportunity, offering co-producer credit and backend participation, as we're operating on a lean budget but with big aspirations.
