Cinematography for Pilot
Hey filmmakers of Vancouver! I'm Chris, a local grip, and we're on the hunt for a talented DP for an upcoming pilot episode. This is a fun, indie project, a comedy with strong slice-of-life elements, focusing on quirky characters navigating everyday absurdities. Think 'Parks and Rec' meets 'Broad City' with a touch of Canadian charm. We need someone who can bring a polished, cinematic look while maintaining a natural, organic feel that really complements the comedic timing and character-driven moments. You'll be responsible for crafting the visual style, lighting, and camera operation with the director. We're looking for a senior-level cinematographer with a strong portfolio, particularly in narrative work. Please have your own camera package (ideally something like a C300 Mark II, FX6, or similar, with a basic lens kit and support) and a keen eye for composition and lighting. A solid reel showcasing your previous work is essential. We're aiming to shoot for approximately 3-4 days in late June or early July, typically 10-12 hour days. Locations will be primarily around Vancouver and the surrounding area. We'll provide lunch, craft services, and a dedicated crew including myself to support your vision. Daily rate is $150-300, depending on experience and gear contribution. Let's make something great!
