Gaffer for Sci-Fi Pilot, New Orleans

Hey filmmakers, Antoine here. I'm a camera op on an exciting new sci-fi pilot shooting down in New Orleans and we're on the hunt for a talented Gaffer to join our crew. This project is a gritty, character-driven sci-fi thriller, think 'District 9' meets 'True Detective.' We're aiming for a dark, atmospheric look while still keeping the action clear and impactful. We need someone who can work creatively within a tight schedule and budget, bringing a strong vision for lighting and shaping our scenes. You'll be responsible for executing the Cinematographer's lighting plan, managing the grip and electric team, ensuring safety on set, and making sure all our practicals look great. We’re looking for someone with at least 5 years of experience in gaffing, a solid understanding of various lighting setups, and a good eye for storytelling through light. Please include your reel and any relevant work samples. Shoot dates are approximately 5-7 days in late April, 10-12 hour days. We'll provide lunch, snacks, and craft services, plus all necessary production insurance. Looking forward to seeing your work!
