Cinematography for Music Video

A vibrant, kaleidoscopic journey through a surreal dreamscape this music video needs a gaffer to really make our visuals pop. We're shooting an independent alt-pop music video in Chicago for an exciting new artist, focusing on bold, high-contrast lighting to elevate our practical effects and set pieces. This is a senior-level position, perfect for someone with a strong artistic eye and a knack for creative problem-solving. You'll be responsible for designing and executing the lighting plan, working closely with the DP to achieve a distinctive visual style. We need someone who owns their own basic lighting kit (stands, flags, silks, etc.) and has a solid reel showcasing their work on stylized projects. Experience with LED fixtures and practical lighting integration is a big plus. Shoot dates are approximate, targeting 1-2 full days in late September 2026, with some prep time the week before. We're a small production company, so flexibility and a good attitude are key. Compensation will be deferred, with points on the backend.
